CAPTAL® Sintered Discs
Densified Calcium Phosphate Substrate with Controllable Porosity
We are able to manufacture pressed, sintered crystalline ceramic constructs from our calcium phosphate materials with controllable surface characteristics. CAPTAL® Sintered Discs offer excellent reproducibility and low cytotoxicity, making them an ideal substrate for tissue culture applications, particularly in musculoskeletal research.
Available in hydroxyapatite (HA), beta-tricalcium phosphate (ß-TCP), or a combination of both, these discs can be suited to your individual needs. HA offers superior compressive strength while ß-TCP is a resorbable material, as prefabricated constructs these discs can be easily incorporated into tissue scaffolds or synthetic bone grafts.
Physical Properties
CAPTAL® Sintered Discs are available in 12 mm or 24 mm diameters with thicknesses between 2 and 5 mm to meet specific requirements. The discs are slightly blue in colour and offered in either a fully dense or microporous form. For more information or custom disc options, please contact us and see the technical data sheet below.
