CAPTAL Calcium Phosphate Products for Dentistry

Our CAPTAL calcium phosphate biomaterials act as remineralising agents, restoring hydroxyapatite in enamel and closing defects before cavities develop. They also serve as bone graft substitutes, filling defects and promoting bone regrowth due to their similarity to native bone. CAPTAL products are available as 3D constructs, putties, injectables, and more, offering solutions for bone defects in a variety of dental applications.

  • CAPTAL® β-TCP: A resorbable biomaterial that is both osteoconductive and osteoinductive, stimulating bone deposition and attracting bone-forming cells until replaced by native bone. It promotes healing in poorly vascularised areas, such as jaw osteonecrosis, and enhances the alveolar ridge to support dental implants.
  • CAPTAL® ‘Spray Grade’ and CAPTAL® ‘HT’: Spherical particles designed for injectable void fillers, allowing for minimally invasive defect repair with improved flow and reduced inflammation.
  • CAPTAL® ‘R’ and CAPTAL® ‘S’: Highly crystalline small particles ideal for load-bearing bone grafts and injectable fillers. Their fine particle size (<10µm) also makes them suitable for incorporation into toothpastes as remineralising agents.
  • CAPTAL® ACP ‘1.67’ & ‘1.5’: Amorphous calcium phosphate materials that dissolve readily in saliva, creating a calcium- and phosphorus-rich environment to remineralise affected enamel.
