CAPTAL ® ‘S’ spray-grade high-purity synthetic calcium hydroxylapatite can be used to deposit HA coatings onto orthopaedic implants using plasma and thermal spraying techniques. It is thermally stable in air to 1300 °C, retaining a highly crystalline structure after spraying under suitable conditions. Captal ® ‘S’ spray-grade is pale blue in colour and is available from stock in a choice of size distributions. All meet the requirements of ISO 13779-6.
