As hydroxyapatite is naturally occurring in the body (in bones and teeth), the material minimises inflammation and reduces the risk of allergic reactions while providing excellent long-term stability. Over time, dermally implanted hydroxyapatite is gradually resorbed, making it essential to use medical-grade material with full traceability and characterisation.
